The Dark Side of Oz

The Dark Side of Oz from Bryan Pugh on Vimeo.

I used to do this with my friends back in university. Start the Pink Floyd album The Darkside of the Moon when the MGM Lion starts roaring at teh beginning of the Wizard of Oz and the music syncs perfectly with the movie, through two and a half plays of the album. I still don't now if Pink Floyd planned this, but in many places it seems too accurate to be a coincidence!

The scenes of the tornado and then opening the door into Oz are especially uncanny. The first time you meet the Scarecrow, he starts dancing to the words, "The lunatic is on the grass." And the heart-beat at the end of the album is exactly when Dorothy knocks on the Tin Man's chest after he says he doesn't have a heart. Those are just a few of over a hundred.
