niece in the process
My sister, Jennifer, just had an ultrasound performed, that the hospital broadcast live over the internet for friends and family to see. Jennifer and I both had a feeling, before, that it was going to be a boy, boy just as I connected to the sight, I thought to myself, "I'm going to see my niece!" Then I remembered our feeling that it was a boy, but the doctor quickly determined it's a girl. Jennifer is excited to me a mother, either way... It was fun listen to her reactions as she watched her baby. It reminded me of EunBong and I doing the same thing not long ago. This is one of those things that makes Korea feel as far away as it is from home, but being able to share experiences like these help to close the gap.
Whatever karma the baby is bringing with her, she's definitely picked a wonderful, great mother, and there's probably not a whole lot more you could ask for!

Joseph, I was having my MRI brain scan in Yarmouth simultaneous to Jennifer's ultrasound! I didn't have a chance to see the live show but I'm hopeful there will be way to access it through the site that broadcast it. As soon as I got out of the machine and stepped back into my clothes, I heard my cell phone beep. It was a text message from Sara saying that she was watching Jennifer's baby on her computer and she knew what "it was" but wasn't going to tell. How uncharacteristic of her to actually keep a secret, haha! When I re-joined Huguette in the waiting room I told her and she asked if I had any inclination either way. I immediately said "Yes, I'm inclined to believe it's a girl!" I added that I had actually believed for the past couple of months that it was a boy but not any more. I had a 50/50 chance of being right and the same odds for being wrong, haha!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I can't wait for Jennifer's daughter to stomp up the stairs and shout "You "you-you You!" HAHA!
uh-oh, I didn't know it was a secret! ^^
ReplyDeleteThe first thing Jennifer said when the doctor said it was a girl was, "Mom was right, ha!"
Thank You , Joseph, for providing me my first glimpse of my grand-daughter! Even from as far away as you are, connection is only a heartbeat away ... Love you, MOM
