So The Mundane Becomes Sacred

Photo & Video Sharing by SmugMug

Excerpt from Khyentse Rinpoche talk:

"We must make our spiritual path integrate with our day-to-day life. That our sole spiritual path should not be done only in the church or the temple or the monastery. That the spiritual path can be done while you are sipping your tea, while you are doing the laundry, while you do all the mundane stuff so the mundane becomes sacred.

As easy as it sounds, it's quite difficult because always we end up limiting our spiritual path to something very minimal, like on the cushion, a few minutes of meditation in front of the shrine, but the moment you are off the meditation cushion, out of the shrine, then you forget all of that."
