Temple Roads

In Korea, it seems that all roads eventually lead to a little temple.

On Sunday, I headed down a small road in town, thinking it would turn onto the main route to downtown. Instead, after about 200 meters, you couldn't even tell that there was an eight lane street just around the corner, and two other ones just to the side. There was no hint of the three million people living just over the hills.

We wound around the ice and slush covered fields until we arrived at a little temple. The roads may lead you there but then what you do is up to you. I went inside to do three bows and enjoy a moment of pause in what been an otherwise chaotic year...
