afternoon at Haeinsa with Barry



Anyone who's read this blog with much frequency has probably, more than once, seen me mention Barry Briggs, and his thoughtful insights on his Oxherding blog.

Today, we had the pleasure of spending the day with him and his friend at Haeinsa, a temple outside of Daegu famous for the 80,000 woodblocks containing the Tripitaka, kept at the temple.

I would have loved to spend a lot more time with Barry, but the few hours were great, especially since I don't get the opportunity to meet like minded Westerners very often. Fina even liked him enough to walk hand-in-hand with him by the end of the evening!
