The lanterns have been out for a couple of weeks now, letting us know Buddha's birthday will be soon.
This time of year, you'll see them as canopies over temple courtyards or as long strings on the street, leading to the nearest temple.
The Buddha's birthday will be on May 10th this year, and usually the parade and street fair is on the sunday before, but this year the parade will be Saturday evening, May 7th, and the fair on Sunday, May 8th.
Here are some images from a Sunday visit to Bongeunsa. I never get tired of photographing here, even though I've got hundreds of photos already. Each time, there's something new, something I hadn't noticed before.
